Partnerships, LLCs and S Corporations: Tax Developments in 2006

During the past year, a number of developments have impacted partnerships, limited liability companies, and S corporations. This course review the legislative, judicial and administrative developments impacting these entities. These developments may have an impact on 2006 returns for these entities. The wide-range of topics covered includes:

  • the interest rate applied to an S corporation's overpayment
  • discharge of indebtedness income
  • using shareholder loans and guarantees to increase shareholder basis
  • S corporation liability for employment taxes
  • built-in gains tax
  • domestic production activities deduction
  • health insurance deductions of S corporation shareholders
