Sidney Kess and Barbara Weltman
During the past year, a number of developments have impacted partnerships, limited liability companies, and S corporations. Some of the changes are sweeping, while others are minor but all have an impact on 2005 returns that will be filed during the 2006 tax season. There are three types of developments reviewed in this course:
- Legislative, including new laws enacted this year or those from prior years that take effect in 2005;
- Judicial, such as court cases;
- Treasury and IRS pronouncements, including regulations, rulings, and other pronouncements.
This course will update you on these changes. Planning pointers are integrated throughout the course to help you effectively apply the new rules in your practice.
