Partnership and LLC Income Tax Refresher Part 2: Form 1065 Schedules (2005 Edition)

Sidney Kess and Barbara E. Weltman

This course is the second in a three-part series designed to provide a comprehensive review of the basic principles of partnership income tax preparation, which are applicable to limited liability companies (LLCs) treated as partnerships for federal income tax purposes.

The course provides details on the schedules and supplemental information that should accompany Form 1065, and how that information should be presented to the IRS. It addresses the type of income and deductions that should be reported in each schedule, and identifies problems that a preparer might face in an effort to meet the form requirements. New developments impacting Form 1065 are noted throughout the course.
