California Tax: Innocent Spouse Relief and Other Issues Affecting Individuals

CCH Editorial Staff

In 2003 and 2004, California enacted various legislation affecting individual taxpayers. One change brought California into further conformity with federal law regarding innocent spouse relief.

Another change clarifies the effect of federal elections made by an individual who was not a California resident at the time the federal election was made. Finally, beginning in 2005, a greater number of taxpayers will be able to file Form 540 2EZ.
