Domestic Production Activities Deduction

Gary L. Maydew, Ph.D, CPA

This course gives an overview of the new federal Domestic Production Activities Deduction, which the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004 (AJCA) put into place. ACJA created this complex and far-reaching deduction for "qualified production activities income" through Code Sec. 199. The course reviews and explains the law and suggests practical ways to use the deduction in tax planning.
