Sales and Use Tax: Tax by Industry Segment (Second Edition)
Author: John C. Healy, MST, CPA, Michael S. Schadewald, PhD, CPA

Description:
The goal of this course is to help practitioners effectively advise clients about special sales and use accounting issues for their specific industry.

In all cases, industry segments overlap: telecommunications companies perform services, resellers may lease as well as sell, manufacturers are sellers, often at retail, and those providing services can be as diverse as governmental units, hospitals, banks, insurance companies, airlines, etc.

Thus, practitioners currently practicing in one industry are well advised to compare their segment's tax practices with those across the board.

Topics covered include:

  • Resellers
  • Manufacturing
  • Construction
  • Leasing
  • Telecommunications
  • Services
