Description: This course describes tax breaks for going "green" for both businesses and individuals. Examples are used to illustrate course concepts. Practice pointers are provided as guidance for action, positive or negative, to put suggested strategies to work.
This course identifies the various federal tax incentives for conserving energy, such as tax breaks for buying specific energy-efficient vehicles, business tax breaks for energy efficiency and state tax energy breaks. It is designed to orient the practitioner with the latest changes in the field of taxation.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify and describe current federal tax breaks available to homeowners, vehicle purchasers, and businesses to both conserve energy and utilize alternative energy sources
- Identify sources of further information regarding state tax incentives for conservation and alternative energy use
